Social Secretary

The social secretary will be required to be responsible for all social activities of the hall, providing a range of different events; Work with external partners to organise events and promote Local Businesses in 红杏视频; Responsible for Hall Day, Winter and Summer Ball, Freshers and Re-Freshers; Consult and work closely with Warden team and Chairs.

Findlay Reid

I am incredibly eager to become Telford’s social secretary, and plan to spend big for more events, using some of my own funds to ensure this. I plan to make our social events more scheduled with monthly timetables laying out new games nights, movie nights and more activities in the common room, combined with a rota of official pres locations to allow all willing flats to host their own big events; the vast number of people in Telford has so far made it hard to bring together the whole hall so these changes are vital.
I want to bring more non-alcoholic but still fun events to our Hall to encourage more ways for people to socialise. I plan to increase the number of flat challenges with prizes for the participants to ensure flat unity.
And naturally (if you know me), I want to push for Telford’s very own sanctioned firework display this winter, and encourage all the hall committee to wear green crocs to the social events. I can guarantee a vote for me WILL bring this about. Up the Crocs馃悐馃悐!

I ensure to dedicate my time and efforts to continue the Telford legacy and make sure that we aren’t forced to bleed green but we simply want to bleed green.

Max Ireland

I want to make sport available to everyone in Telford. Just like most of you, I love sport and get involved wherever I can. Let me share that passion with you as an organiser, a coach, a volunteer and a fan. I will draw on my experience as a football coach and now as a Telford IMS Futsal coach so that you can have a great sporting experience during your time at Telford.
As a sport sec, my priorities are to:
- Making sport accessible and fun
- Booking regular training sessions
- Be there to help out
- Make sure Telford sport runs smoothly
If you value these things too, vote for me. I can bring them to you.

Quinton Stephenson

I am running for Sports Secretary because I am passionate about sport, proud to be part of Telford Hall and keen to make IMS an even better experience for everyone. As someone who regularly attends one-day events and plays for the Telford rugby team, I understand how important sport is in bringing the hall together, building friendships and creating a sense of community. I want to use this experience to help make Telford an even better sporting hall. If elected, I will aim to increase participation by encouraging more people to get involved in IMS, regardless of their sporting ability or experience. Improve inclusivity, ensuring everyone feels welcome to participate, whether they're competitive or just looking to have fun. Build hall spirit and listen to residents by listening to feedback and ideas to make sporting opportunities as enjoyable and accessible as possible. I will bring enthusiasm, commitment and a genuine passion for Telford to the role. I want to help make sport something everyone can enjoy and be proud to represent Telford in!

Jack Warren

Hi, I'm Jack Warren, and I'm standing to be your next Telford Sports Sec!
I don't just play for Telford, I BLEED GREEN. Having competed in the Freshers Cup, Gaelic Football, Handball and Luff Bowl, I've experienced first-hand what it means to represent this hall. I have already helped Telford win the the Freshers Cup and Gaelic Football ODE's. And plan to continue our success.
My ambition is simple: make Telford a dominant force in IMS and bring home as much silverware as possible. I want us competing at the highest level across every sport, building on our successes and making Telford a name other halls fear.
If elected, I want to introduce inter-hall competitions, giving you the opportunity to showcase your talents and show us who the best Telford athletes are. I'll also improve our social media coverage, showcasing fixtures, results and achievements across ALL sports. Every win deserves celebrating, and every Telford team deserves recognition.
I'll bring commitment, competitiveness and an unhealthy amount of green passion to this role. I'll give everything to continue the Telford legacy as the best sporting hall in 红杏视频.
I don't just want to be part of Telford's success. I want to drive it.

Action Representative

The Action Representative will promote volunteering opportunities within the Hall; supports student engagement in community initiatives; attending Action Hall Representative meetings; recruiting and supporting Hall volunteers; collaborating with Media Reps to publicise Action events.

James van Laar

I have always enjoyed volunteering and Community action.
Serving as Head Boy in secondary school gave me hands-on experience running initiatives like charity bake sales, Christmas toy drives and litter-picks, showing me how meaningful it is when a community comes together for a cause.

If elected, I want to preserve the great work our hall already does while expanding our outreach into the community. For example, I was a part of a project in school where we would have regular drop-ins to chat, play games or have a cup of tea with care home residents. Seeing how much these conversations meant to both the students and residents was remarkable and I would love to bring something similar to Telford Hall.
